About us
Zmag was founded by an engineer and scientist at Mitsubishi Steel where he became a renowned specialist in the field of magnetics.
During his career, he has commercialized many practical applications of magnets and magnetic circuits including Eddy Current Separation, the method used worldwide for separating non-ferrous metals from other materials.
The company has since broadened its focus into molten metal, using its patented zPMC™ (Zmag Permanent Magnetic Circuit) as a core component for products that stir, submerge and otherwise move molten metal. Two of its products are MagStir™ (for stirring molten aluminum) and Typhoon™ (for melting chips/submerging scrap material).
